Halocell is passionate about reducing the waste from single use batteries by integratring our ambient modules into IoT devices, to extend the range, recharge, or replace the need for batteries.

Drones

Halocell, together with V-Tol Aeorpspace and Li-S Energy, was awarded a grant of $1.35M AUD to develop a drone that integrates LIS’ next generation batteries and advanced solar cells that can be deployed from ‘dawn to dusk’ without landing or recharging.

Space

Gallium Arsenide is currently the primary material used as solar material for satellites and represents a substantial component cost of satellites. Gallium is a ‘critical mineral’ with over 80% processed in China.
PSCs are 10 times less expensive, made from readily sourced materials, and represent the most compelling power source alternative in the rapidly growing satellite market. Halocell has secured over $1M grant funding in Australia and is producing perovskite solar space modules for commercial space technology companies.
